When I finished college on the East Coast, I had an old Ford Explorer and one thousand dollars. I drove straight to the mountains of central Idaho, where I immediately bought a GT Zaskar race frame for more than I had to my name. I rode single track every day, worked nights, lived in a 2-bedroom dump with five buddies, and survived on Top Ramen. Now, I'm trying to get back to that point of my life every time I get on my bike.
